About DYCC
The camp program offers campers with opportunities to learn, grow, and evolve within themselves personally. Opportunities vary and include not limited to: being with the beauty of nature; dialogues on a variety of topics for awareness purposes; participation in entertaining activities for unity building; learning a wide range of diverse educational and self-development experiences from staff persons and guest speakers; meeting new people for broadening their new life horizons; discovering new ways of becoming a better, empowered citizen; and celebration of life.
The Deaf Youth Camp of Color intends to make the environment safe, friendly and welcoming to everyone of all kinds of cultures and experiences. While it is important to have fun, it is also very important that everyone has the responsibility to make positive, uplifting contributions to the community in the best possible manner.
